Desondanks houdt 82% van de werkende Nederlanders zich sinds corona niet extra bezig met de veiligheid van hun internetomgeving. Maar liefst 64% van de Nederlanders vindt daarbij ten onrechte dat dit de verantwoordelijkheid van hun <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pricewise.nl\/internet\/providers\/\">internetprovider<\/a> is. Thuiswerkers en werkgevers lopen extra risico doordat zakelijke apparaten tijdens de pandemie vaker voor priv\u00e9doeleinden worden gebruikt.<!--more--> De angst dat er iets misgaat met beveiliging leeft wel onder Nederlanders: bijna de helft is bang voor cybercrime. Dat blijkt uit onderzoek van online consumentenadviseur Pricewise onder 1.000 respondenten in samenwerking met onafhankelijk veldwerkbureau Panel Inzicht.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">Ondanks groter risico op cybercrime door thuiswerken, geen extra aandacht voor online security<\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>82% werkende Nederlanders niet bezig met online security<\/h2>\n<p>Hoewel online security sinds corona met de thuiswerknorm nog belangrijker is geworden, houden maar liefst vier op de vijf thuiswerkers zich niet extra bezig met hun online security. Volgens Jeroen Snellen, Product Manager Telecom bij Pricewise, zijn veel Nederlanders onwetend over de invloed die zij hebben op hun eigen internetveiligheid. \u201cHet gebruik van zakelijke apparaten voor priv\u00e9doeleinden is sinds het thuiswerken enorm gestegen. Denk aan even internetbankieren, het checken van priv\u00e9mail of een online bestelling plaatsen. Het is belangrijk dat we ook dan alert blijven. Check bijvoorbeeld altijd of er een &#8216;s&#8217; van security achter \u2018http\u2019 in de URL van de website staat en klik niet zomaar op linkjes in verdachte e-mails.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Beperkte invloed provider op online security<\/h2>\n<p>Volgens Snellen heeft een provider eigenlijk maar een beperkte invloed op de veiligheid. \u201cHet is daarom belangrijk te beseffen dat je als gebruiker ook zelf stappen kunt ondernemen voor meer veiligheid. Het is bijvoorbeeld niet de verantwoordelijkheid van jouw provider wanneer je kiest voor een eenvoudig te kraken wachtwoord of wanneer je ingaat op verzoeken van onbekende bronnen,&#8221; aldus Snellen. \u201cBescherm jezelf door bijvoorbeeld gebruik te maken van een virusscanner, niet zomaar persoonlijke gegevens te delen en je computer regelmatig te updaten ter voorkoming van beveiligingslekken in computerprogramma&#8217;s.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Helft Nederlanders bang voor cybercrime<\/h2>\n<p>Bijna de helft van Nederland (49%) is bang voor cybercrime op het <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pricewise.nl\/internet\/\">internet<\/a>. De groep die zich de grootste zorgen maakt gehackt, gescamd of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pricewise.nl\/blog\/toename-internetfraude-2020\/\">online gefraudeerd<\/a> te worden, bestaat vooral uit 65-plussers.<\/p>\n<p>*Met 50%, volgens online securityorganisatie Mimecast<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sinds Nederlanders massaal thuiswerken, is het aantal cyberaanvallen gestegen*.
