De korting die ze nu nog krijgen wordt wel langzaam afgebouwd, maar minder snel dan de bedoeling was. <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW164975336 BCX0\">V<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW164975336 BCX0\">oor<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW164975336 BCX0\">eigenaren van plug-in hybride auto\u2019s<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW164975336 BCX0\">vervalt <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW164975336 BCX0\">in 2025 <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW164975336 BCX0\">h<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW164975336 BCX0\">et<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW164975336 BCX0\"> belastingvoordeel.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2>Stimuleren verkoop elektrische auto\u2019s<\/h2>\n<p>De overheid wil Nederland al jaren aan de elektrische auto krijgen, omdat de CO2-uitstoot moet worden verminderd. Een van de maatregelen hiervoor is het aantal benzine- en dieselauto\u2019s verminderen. Om de verkoop van elektrische auto\u2019s te stimuleren betalen eigenaren van elektrische auto\u2019s momenteel geen motorrijtuigenbelasting (ook wel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pricewise.nl\/autoverzekering\/wegenbelasting-berekenen\/\">wegenbelasting<\/a> genoemd).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Geen wegenbelasting bij elektrische auto<\/h2>\n<p>Hoeveel wegenbelasting je betaalt, hangt onder andere af van het gewicht van de auto. Aangezien <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pricewise.nl\/autoverzekering\/elektrisch-rijden\/voordelen-elektrische-auto\/#voordelen-elektrische-auto\">elektrische auto\u2019s<\/a> door hun grote accu veel zwaarder zijn dan brandstofauto\u2019s, zouden eigenaren van elektrische auto\u2019s veel meer belasting moeten betalen. Dat zou een afschrikwekkend effect op de verkoop hebben. Vandaar dat de overheid besloot autobezitters van elektrische auto\u2019s een volledige korting op hun wegenbelasting te geven. Die maatregel bleek succesvol: de verkoop van elektrische auto\u2019s is de afgelopen jaren enorm gestegen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Belastingkorting afbouwen<\/h2>\n<p>De overheid loopt hierdoor veel inkomsten mis. Naast de gemiste wegenbelasting, zijn er voor de overheid door de stijging van het aantal elektrische auto\u2019s ook minder inkomsten uit accijnzen en belastingen op benzine en diesel. Op stroom wordt namelijk veel minder belasting geheven.<\/p>\n<p>De maatregel van een volledige korting op wegenbelasting voor elektrische auto\u2019s is daardoor niet veel langer houdbaar. Eerder was al besloten dat deze korting zal worden afgebouwd. Vanaf 2026 zouden ook bezitters van elektrische auto\u2019s, net als eigenaren van brandstofauto\u2019s, het volledige bedrag aan wegenbelasting moeten betalen.<\/p>\n<p>Om de overstap van brandstof- naar elektrische auto\u2019s toch nog even te stimuleren, blijft de belastingkorting voorlopig nog bestaan. Het afbouwen van deze korting wordt met 5 jaar vertraagd. Nu betalen deze autobezitters maar 50% wegenbelasting, vanaf volgend jaar dus net zoveel als eigenaren van brandstofauto\u2019s.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eigenaren van elektrische auto\u2019s gaan pas in 2031 volledige wegenbelasting betalen.
